Current Vacancies:
General Staffing: – We are looking for extra staff in Cheshunt. Please contact the office if you know of anyone who would be interested in working at CHIPS, or alternatively ask them to contact the office to request an application form.
Forthcoming Events:
13th March – The CHIPS Ball, Cheshunt De Vere Hotel, tickets £60.00 a head, dinner, dancing, raffle and auction. A very small number of tickets still available. Please contact the office. All proceeds to CHIPS. If anyone has any unwanted gifts that we can use in our Auction or raffle at the CHIPS Ball, please contact the office. Thank you! More information.

Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK) will be running an event on 23rd February at the Holywell Community Centre in Watford. This event is free of charge and open to all who would like to be involved in exploration and discovery of health and well-being, and the impact wheelchair dance sport and Wheelchair dance has on individuals and the community. Bury Rangers FC inclusive football mash up – every Saturday 11.00am-12.00 noon at Wodson Park Sports & Leisure Centre, Ware SG12 0UQ. Hertfordshire CP Football Kickstart – Working in partnership with Broxbourne Borough FC, Watford FC Sport & Education Trust and Hertfordshire FA, Cerebral Palsy (CP) Sport will deliver a CP Football Kickstart event to get more children with cerebral palsy and other physical impairments enjoying the beautiful game, which will then have regular football sessions following on. Our CP Football Kickstarts aim to engage local participants to be part of a fun football event, leading on to regular local based playing opportunities for every individual regardless of ability level. If you would like to join CP Sport for our CP Football Kickstart event, please ask the CHIPS office for a registration form.

The CP Kickstart event will also be followed with a social, refreshments and an opportunity to watch the Broxbourne Borough FC first team match (3.00pm Kick-Off), next door at Broxbourne Borough Football Club.

‘A Sense of Change’ is an exciting free film and animation competition for young people between the ages of 7-19 (up to 25 with special educational needs), living in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and North Kent.  We had a successful launch last year with ‘A Sense of Place’ and this year we want young people to explore the idea of ‘A Sense of Change’ http://filmcompetition.org.uk/
The competition has been developed by Royal Opera House Bridge, is supported by Elstree Studios and Into Film, and delivered by Elstree Film Design. It aims to encourage work in collaboration with students, schools and community groups.
Entrants have until Monday 20th April to submit their film/s

  • The theme ‘ A Sense of Change’ is open to interpretation – what does it mean to you?
  • Films can be fact or fiction, and any genre
  • Five award categories – Best Idea, Best Story, Best Look, Best Sound, and Best Film
  • Film and TV industry professionals will judge the entries
  • You don’t have filmmaking experience?  You don’t have the ‘right’ equipment? No problem! Help is at hand with our online resources
  • Young people can apply to attend a free filmmaking workshop
  • Teachers and educators can apply to attend a free filmmaking or animation CPD session, and pass skills onto their students
  • Finalists will attend an award ceremony and receive a certificate
  • Winners will be announced at the ceremony and see their films on the big screen
  • Prizes include certificates, goodie bags, a tour of Elstree Studios (The British Hollywood), and having films screened at film festivals across the regions!
