This post will involve coordinating the activities of CHIPS, a leading local charity, which offers fun and purposeful activities for children with special needs alongside their siblings and short break support for their families living in Eastern Hertfordshire. CHIPS’ operates from five locations in Eastern Hertfordshire. We run half day Saturday Clubs during school term time, full day holiday schemes for three weeks during the summer holidays and for three/four days during Easter/Xmas holidays as well as special interest groups all year round.

The manager will report to the Chair of Trustees and be responsible for the day to day running of the office. The role is central to CHIPS’ success and will require commitment, dedication, energy and a willingness to do what is needed to finish a project.

The role is 30 hours per week , but this is flexible – it is not 9.00 – 5.00pm!  CHIPS will pay contributions towards your pension according to statutory requirements.

The role will involve working in the evening and at weekends. It is demanding but hugely rewarding.
