Current Vacancies:

We are looking for new staff members at the Hoddesdon Scheme – please contact the office if you know anyone who would be interested in volunteering or working for us.

We are also looking for new Trustees to represent the Hertford, Ware, Bishops Stortford, Cheshunt and Hoddesdon schemes. The Trustees meet 5 times a year in the evening. If you would be interested in further details please contact Helen or Karen on 01992 534664 or email

Hertford Town Council – Christmas Gala- Saturday 26th November – come and visit our stall – we will be located outside Superdrug in Bircheley Green Shopping Centre – 10.30-3.00pm.

Teddy Tombola, raffle tickets for the Wheelbarrow of Booze will also be on sale

Bowl of soupCHIPS Souper Walk – Tewin Memorial Hall – Sunday 5th February – 11.30am

Come and join us for a guided 5 mile walk around the Tewin countryside, then enjoy a bowl of homemade soup and crusty bread. There will also be a stall selling cake. Activity Clubs for 12-19 year olds

New details for the Climbing Club:

Age range has now been lowered to 10 years old.

Climbing Club, Essex Outdoors, Burnt Mill Lane, Harlow, Essex CM20 2QS – 12.30pm-2.30pm (New Time) – Sunday’s – 8th & 22nd January, 5th & 19th February, 5th & 19th March 2017.

The CHIPS Climbing Club has given Jack great self confidence. He always loves attending and the staff are wonderful with him. Jack has plenty of turns, but has also learnt some patience in waiting for his go. As a family we enjoy watching our son gain new heights in his physical progression and his self awareness.

Cookery Club, Pinewood School, Hoe Lane, Ware SG12 9PB – 7.00-9.00pm – 8th December. Cost is £4.00 per session or £24.00 a term.

Hoddesdon Model Railway Club, Broxbourne Meadows, Mill Lane, Broxbourne EN10 7AX
Club will run on, 10th Dec – 10.00-11.30am. The club is specifically for children aged 14+ but if your child is younger but would still be interested please contact the office to discuss. Please contact the Gill at the office on 01992 534664 or email to book a space. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer and places must be booked in advance.


Our 5p jar total now stands at £2,019.54 – jars are still being filled with 5ps – many thanks to those who have contributed in this way.

CHIPS Quiz raised a fantastic £1,000 – a great evening enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Greg Ivison (Quiz master), Helen, Karen & Gill for marking, and Hazel Smith for helping the evening go so smoothly.

Huge thanks to the St Augustine’s Lodge, Broxbourne for the very generous donation of £750.00.
