The Cookery Club meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening in Ware
Nine young people with additional needs, between 12 and 19 years produce a different dish each week with support from CHIPS staff. They take home a recipe book at the end of term so that they can make the dishes at home.
They learn numerous skills such as grating, mixing, whisking, chopping, peeling, mashing, slicing, stir frying, boiling, baking, decorating and get the chance to taste the dish every session.
They also make cakes and savouries for CHIPS fundraising events.
The CHIPS cookery club is run by Gill. She puts in a great deal of time and effort to ensure that all those who attend really enjoy their experiences. Please contact the office to join the waiting list for the club.
