CHIPS Information:
Climbing Club – we have set up a climbing club at Essex Outdoors, Burnt Mill Lane, Harlow, Essex. The club will run fortnightly on Sundays, starting on 3rd May, 11.00am – 1.00pm. Children should be aged 14+, places must be reserved in advance. CHIPS staff will be present so no need for parents to stay. Cost is £5 per session or £30 for the term. To book a place, please contact gill@chipsplay.org or call 01992 534664.
Computer Club – this new club for children aged 14+ will run fortnightly on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm – 9.00pm at Scott House, Hagsdell Road, Hertford starting on 5th May. Places must be booked in advance. CHIPS staff will be present so no need for parents to stay. Cost is £5 per session or £30 for the term. To book a place, please contact gill@chipsplay.org or call 01992 534664.
Cookery Club – We have now finalised the details of our Cookery Club. The club will run from Pinewood School, on Thursday evenings from 7.00pm – 9.00pm, fortnightly. The first session will be on 23rd April. This club is aimed at teaching children cooking life skills, children should be aged 12+, although priority will be given to older children. If you would like your child to attend, please contact the office for more details.   Places must be booked in advance through the office email gill@chipsplay.org or phone 01992 534664. Cost is £7.50 per session and will include all ingredients.
Model Railway Club will be running on 16th May, 6th June, & 4th July, 10.00-11.30am. The club is specifically for children aged 14+, but if your child is not 14 but would still be interested please contact the office to discuss. The club is located at The Hoddesdon Railway Club, Broxbourne Meadows, Mill Lane, Broxbourne EN10 7AX. Spaces are limited so if your child would be interested in attending any of the above dates, please contact the office by email gill@chipsplay.org or phone 01992 534664 to book a space. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer and register in advance. We would also like to have a train set at the club that the children can play with in case of wet weather, if anyone has an old train set that they would like to donate, please contact us.
Current Vacancies:
General Staffing: – We are looking for extra staff in Cheshunt. Please contact the office if you know of anyone who would be interested in working at CHIPS, or alternatively ask them to contact the office to request an application form.
Forthcoming Events:
Charity Jam Jars – Hazel Smith – our champion fundraiser!! – has come up with the idea of collecting 5p’s in small jam jars and returning to CHIPS. Please contact the office if you would like some empty jam jars for yourself, your friends, family, office or place of work.
£100 challenge – we challenge you to raise £100.00 in the month of July. Please contact the office for more details.
Saturday 16th May – Coffee morning at the Methodist Church, Ware Road, Hertford – 10.00am – 12 noon – come along and support the Methodist Church and CHIPS, enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, and have a browse around the craft, pre-loved and plant stalls.
Sunday 17th May – Newgate Street Fete – CHIPS will be running 2 stalls at this event, proceeds from the fete will donated to CHIPS. Please come along and support us.
Friday 26th June – Wodson Park – CHIPS Summer quiz – 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start. Please contact the office for a booking form to reserve your table. Maximum 8 brains to a table, £6.00 per head.

TIME: 10:00 – 18:00
It’s that exciting time of the year again at London Zoo. Tickets are up to 50% off and entry for carers is free. Daytrippers will be holding a charity hub space so come along, say hello and play some games.
